I can’t believe its Sunday night already! Boy how time flies. My weekend was more on the relaxing side, just how I like it. Staying local in Maryland lately has really been super enjoyable and has allowed me to see a lot of different places across the area.
The plus side of living semi-close to Pennsylvania is that its only a hop, skip and a jump away to get to a Pennsylvania Dutch market. On Friday, we got in the car and drove on up to the closest one. I love the Amish market, everything is fresh and made with love. The fruit is juicier, the bread is softer and the bacon is greasier. I love that everything is grown locally and more importantly, is super affordable. We made a whole afternoon out of the trip, enjoying some fresh Country Lemonade, a Pumpkin Whoopie Pie and an amazing Iced Coffee.
Today we took a trip to Western Maryland to visit the historic town of Frederick. 50 miles northwest of D.C is a little town full of boutiques, coffee shops, restaurants and parks. Frederick is the perfect place for a day trip – there is a little bit of everything for everyone. The town center is so lovely and charming, the lens of my iPhone 6 was enjoying the scenery. Highlight of the day was my Maine Blueberry Ice Cream and the $2 bill I received !
Weekend – Over and Out !
