I spent Christmas week in my hometown of Baltimore, Maryland and I couldn’t have been happier being there. Baltimore is a relatively small city when compared to DC or NYC, but there is a little bit of everything for everyone.
The weather could not have been more perfect, it almost didn’t feel real waking up on Christmas morning and seeing 75 degrees on our thermostat. The warmer weather did make it quite pleasant to walk around one of my favorite places, the Inner Harbor. No trip to the Harbor is complete without grabbing Shake Shack and taking some pictures of the beautiful water and Baltimore skyline.
Another one of my Baltimore favorites happens only around the holidays – seeing the lights on 34th Street. An entire city street teams up together to bring holiday magic to Charm City. It is pretty amazing to see, and definitely a great way to take in the beauty of the holiday season.
Baltimore has some pretty great museums like the Baltimore Museum of Art – which has a massive modern art section including several classic Andy Warhol originals. While in Baltimore, I always make sure to hit a couple thrift and antique shops. Being that Baltimore is such a historically rich city, there are always amazing treasures for the cities past inside the stores – it is always cool to be able to find and take home your own piece of history. A great place to check out is Second Chance – this massive warehouse full of antiques is a great way to spend the day.
I am definitely sad to leave Baltimore for Philadelphia, but can’t wait for my next adventure to my hometown city.
Love the outfits! Sounds like a fun trip, I would love to visit Baltimore for a long weekend.
