What is a weekend without a great brunch and an even better breakfast drink. Mimosas, Bellini’s… I’ll gladly drink them all. This weekend we decided to keep it low key and make our own brunch. I have never made my own Bloody Mary before so I felt like this was the perfect time to test it out.
I have spoken before about Heritage Distilling and how much I enjoy their flavored Vodka’s, well the Bacon Vodka is no exception. I was hoping the Spicy Tomato of the BM would pair well with the smoky richness of the Bacon. After throwing what seemed like a bunch of random ingredients into a glass and mixing it all up, my first Bloody Mary was born!
Here are my steps to creating your own Brunch-Worthy Bloody Mary
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 2 shots of your favorite Vodka, I suggest Heritage Distilling Bacon Vodka
- 3/4 cup spicy tomato-vegetable juice cocktail like a V8 or a premade mix
- 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce, I added 3 because I love the kick it gives
- 1 dash hot pepper sauce (e.g. Tabasco™)
- salt and pepper to taste
1 stalk celery for decoration
