April showers bring May flowers – that’s what they say, right? Well it looks like those April showers have lingered into May here on East Coast. 14 straight days of rain has got this girl craving some sunshine. While the grounds are looking lush and green, its been near impossible to get out and enjoy anything with all this rain. I have had just about enough of this gloom – this weekend I decided to bring the outdoors into my indoors. Flowers, succulents and plants galore – an instant mood brightener ! ( and room brighter )
Now-a-days you don’t have to spend a fortune to snag a fresh, beautiful bouquet. Here are my top 3 places to buy beautiful flowers, without breaking the bank.
- Trader Joes – the MECCA of fresh flowers. You never know what gorgeous stems you will find here under a $9.99 price-point.
- Whole Foods – a great place for unique finds like Eucalyptus, Lavender and Hibiscus
- Your local Farmers Market – probably the most affordable option on this list. I love checking out the options at the Farmers Markets near me – some places even offer a create your own bouquet.
Another great idea is to hang around your local florist close to closing, you never know what you might find if you are in the mood to dumpster dive a bit. Happy Spring, Xo!
