A few weeks ago I took a day trip up to New York City for some meetings. I usually like to schedule my visits so that I have a little time to explore the city, shop and grab something yummy to eat before heading back down to Philadelphia. Unfortunately this visit was truly in and out – I barely saw much outside of the backseat of a cab and a meeting room! Luckily for me – the recently opened gourmet food hall, The Pennsy, is located right above Penn Station and was the perfect place to pop into before jumping onto my Amtrak.
Open 7 days a week, The Pennsy offers a little something for everyone. With vegan, gluten free, sweet-tooth craving, meat loving options all at a fast food service pace – you truly cant go wrong. I obviously bee-lined straight to the Cinnamon Snail as soon as I saw something that resembled a doughnut. WOW was I for a treat. Between 15 – 20 unique flavor options such as Green Tea, Coconut Mango and Maple Bacon -I ended up chosing their Gluten Free Cranberry Pomegranate. It was incredible.
Definitely stop by the Pennsy next time you are in the Big Apple. Absolutely will not disappoint
