Spa Day Made Easy

I wish I could afford to go to the spa everyday – but until I become Rich and Famous, that is just a dream for me.  But, with a little effort and a few great products – you can bring the spa home to you!  Spa Days can become a regular occurrence and I mean, who doesn’t want that?  Every girl loves being pampered and beautified.

Obviously nothing can replace a true facial at a spa, but there are some totally awesome products out there that will help you get as close to spa quality as possible.  The first and my favorite thing to invest in for your at home spa is a facial steamer.  I got mine from amazon for less than $35 and I use it 2-3 times a week.  Take off all make up before using and make sure to give your face a quick wash – you want to make sure your skin is totally clean so your pores open up fully with the heat.  I typically use my steamer for about 15-20 minutes and then let my skin settle/dry out for 2 additional minutes before applying anything to it.

Right after steaming I love applying face masks because your pores are open and more receptive.  One of my go-to masks is by the Lovely Co.  Their Pink Clay Mask feels super luxurious on and smells amazing ( the combo of Rosehips and French Clay ).  I like to spread with my FAVORITE facial brush from Hansderma.  The brush is a hairless silicone that allows you to apply cream, facial mask, mud masks, etc with EASE. It’s so soft and super easy to clean vs bristle brushes you typically use. Leave the mask on for about 15 minutes and scrub off with your favorite face wash – I love ANYTHING Mario Badescu.

Post mask I IMMEDIATELY use a toner/mist.  Currently am loving this nourishing, hydrating Antioxidant mist packed with Vitamins from OSEA.  After misting I put on an oil based serum to really moisturize my skin.  I like using Hansderma’s HA Serum which helps brighten and lift skin.

One last product I love incorporating into my beauty routine to help my skin feel spa smooth is from Cosmedix – their Rescue Mask + Balm is seriously life changing.  I have never felt my skin feel smoother or more nourished than I do after using this mask.

The whole process listed about can take under an hour to complete and is relaxing/fun to do.  Treat yourself today and try your own at home spa treatments – but make sure you share them with me!
