Each year the City of Philadelphia and the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society host their annual Flower Show. This event brings in people from all over the state, region, country and even world. I was lucky enough to be able to attend the pre-showing as well as the actual event this year and I was absolutely mind-blown with awe and wonder at how GORGEOUS the show was.
The theme was Holland, Flowering the World – so you can bet there were tulips for days. The colors, the smells, the displays showed how creative people can be and how beautiful our planet truly is.
I would suggest grabbing tickets on line in advance to avoid waiting in lines. The best times to go are right at opening or near closing – there will be less of a crowd and more opportunity to get up close and personal with the incredible displays. Make sure you save time to peruse the vendor shops towards the end of the show – you can score some AMAZING deals on unique items. I got 2 dozen rozes for $9.99 – can you even believe it.
The show is held every year in mid March at the Philadelphia Convention Center – stay up to date and plan your trip here. You will not be disappointed!
